Assassina Box

The Granoro Dedicato Spaghetti all’Assassina box is everything you need for a taste of the most authentic Puglia.

Inside the box, you will find:

1 pack of Spaghettoni from the “Granoro Dedicato” line
1 Tomato Purée from the “Granoro Dedicato” line, 500g
1 180g container of Hot Pepper Cream from the “Granoro” line
1 “Tognana” chef’s tongs made of silicone and plastic, very useful for cooking spaghetti directly in the pan

How to prepare "Spaghetti all'Assassina"

In a saucepan, bring lightly salted water to boil, which you will use as broth

Put the oil in the pan with three cloves of garlic without the core and half a teaspoon of Hot Pepper Cream.

On high heat, brown the garlic and add the uncooked Spaghettoni, toasting the spaghetti until it reaches a biscuit colour. Pour in the Tomato Purée and season with a pinch of salt.

Gently turn the Spaghettoni over with kitchen tongs, allowing the pasta to stick to the bottom of the pan a little.

Add a ladle of boiling water. When the water evaporates and the sauce begins to sizzle, dislodge the Spaghettoni stuck to the bottom and bring it all to the surface. Add a ladle of water at a time, as you do with risotto.

After about 9 minutes, the Spaghettoni will be reddish brown, partially burnt and crispy. When it has reached the right consistency, turn off the heat. Serve and enjoy!

Ingredients (for 4 people)

400g Granoro Dedicato Spaghettoni or Spaghetti Quadrati (Square)
150g Granoro Dedicato Tomato Purée
Half a teaspoon of Granoro Hot Pepper Cream
150cc of Granoro Dedicato EVO DOP oil
Three cloves of garlic
Salt to taste
