In order to produce a firm, elastic and fragrant pasta we use only high-quality durum wheat, with a high protein content, with excellent indexes of yellowness and of gluten content.

DEDICATO GRANORO PASTA PRODUCED ONLY WITH 100% APULIAN DURUM WHEAT

In order to produce Granoro Dedicato pasta, we use only 100% Apulian durum wheat selected and grown in Puglia in the areas of the Capitanata and that of the Basso Tavoliere, areas that are among the most suitable for the production of high-quality wheat.

THE VARIETIES

Dedicato Pasta was created using the varieties of durum wheat most suitable for the production of quality pasta that have been carefully chosen from among the 130 varieties already existing in Puglia: Simeto, Saragolla, Iride, Maestà, Antalis, Tirex and Sfinge. The latter cultivar, “Sfinge”, is the result of research by CER – the Research Center for the Growing of Cereals – in Foggia established at the Council for Research in Agriculture and the Analysis of the Agricultural Economy (Crea) of the main city in the Daunia area, on which Granoro technicians collaborated. Born from a mixture of varieties, “Sfinge” ensures excellent yield and a high protein content.

The skilful pasta-making technologies, the artisan intelligence and the age-old experience of the Mastromauro family do the rest: a pasta that is proudly Apulian with a protein content between 13% and 14%, made via rough extrusion, gently dried and golden yellow in colour.

ORGANIC GRANORO PASTA

PRODUCED ONLY WITH 100% ITALIAN DURUM WHEAT

In order to produce both classic and wholemeal organic Granoro pasta, we use only 100% Italian organic durum wheat grown in the regions of Puglia, Sicily and Basilicata, following the methods of organic farming that do not use pesticides nor chemical fertilizers, respecting the environment.

In the Organic line Granoro also produces Cuore Mio, a pasta rich in beta-glucans, soluble fibres that reduce the amount of “bad” cholesterol in the blood.

All Organic Granoro products are controlled and certified by ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification).

For the production of our I Classici formats we use Durum Wheat grown in Italy mixed with selected and high-quality wheat, grown in countries around the world that have a remarkable tradition of cereal-growing such as the United States, France and Australia.
