Rough extrusion

Among the many formats and lines, Granoro also makes those produced with rough drawings, in jargon “bronze”, compliant with the regulations on materials in contact with food (EC regulation 1935/04).

From bronze extrusion to rough extrusion

Granoro has replaced the wording “bronze extrusion” with “rough extrusion” on the labels of its pasta since ridges are its characteristic feature.

The drawplates used today for the production of pasta, in full compliance with the rules in force, are not made of bronze but of metal alloys such as copper and aluminium, or bronze and aluminium for the blocks or supports. Brass is used for the inserts, which is more resistant in the extrusion phase than bronze.

For smooth, classic extrusion, drawplates with Teflon inserts are used.
